H. Synchronize
This script syncs all camera trap data and the extracted database to the cluster
BEFORE DOING THIS STEP, BE VERY SURE THAT all previous steps are completed successfully!!!
In order to run scripts and work with the camera trap images later, the local organized camera trap data needs to be synced with the cluster. For this, run the script:
$ dataOrganization/E1_syncDataToCluster.sh
Input¶
the variables to define can be found in the Input section:
- imagesFolder= local organized data folder , currently : "/ctData/ct_data/ct_newOrganization" (documented 06.2025)
- clusterLogin= your IBU cluster log in data, you will be asked for a password for this account
- clusterFolder= folder on the cluster to syncronize the data into , currently: "/data/projects/p387_biodiversity_unifr/chinkoData/" (documented 06.2025). Note the / a the end of the cluster folder so it is copied inside of the folder.
How it works¶
The local data on the hardrive is taken as the default. Any data that was added or deleted locally will be added or deleted on the cluster, therefore do not sync automatically in case we accidentally delete some data or other things happen.
